Assignment #4: Famous Copy Right Cases

Vanilla Ice sampled the most identifiable riggs from David Bowie and Queen's song Under Pressure for his only hit Ice Ice Baby on his 1990 Album titled to the Extreme, unlike MC Hammer, Vanilla didn't bother to license, or even credit, the song.

Queen's Input: Under Pressure was sang to provide a feel good at mood or atmosphere. This was for the same as the original song that was written. This song competed directly with Queen's Under Pressure. I think the song writter was right in sewing vanilla ice, the song he wrote. After all he didnt give any credit to anyone but himself. If some took his music and just changed the words. He would be sew happy. Maybe if he would of given credit to the actual singer and asked, then he probably wouldn't of been sewed. Also if Vanilla Ice would of thought of editing some of the background and add his own mix to the background music then maybe he would be okay.
